$images\ftools.jpg$	Comparator v2.2: Compare Files and Directories: Ideal tool for updating groups of files in different directories. Show newer files, duplicates, missing files between directories. Freeware
		Keeping track of files and protecting them from loss or damage is a never ending chore for any active PC user. Here is a simple utility that will take some of the insecurity and the tedium out of finding, deleting and copying over duplicate or older version files.

$images\ftools.jpg$	Date & Time Shell Extension v1.41: Take Control of Time itself. Adds a DATE manipulation box to the file properties; change the Creation and Last Modified date of one file, or a thousand. Excellent tool. Freeware
		Date & Time is a free shell extension for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT. It adds a new page to the Properties dialog for files that lets you interactively change the date and time for files. You can change the date/time a file was created and/or last modified. To activate, right-click on a file, and click on Properties in the context menu. You’ll see the usual Properties panel with a new page named Date & Time. More.

$images\ftools.jpg$	ANNOTSX: File Annotator Shell Extension Add hidden notes to any File. Freeware
		ANNOTSX is a shell extension for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0, that helps you embed notes in your files. It adds a page to your files' Properties folder. Right-click on the file, choose Properties, click on the Annotate tab, and type in your notes. Only those who are also using ANNOTSX can see your comments. Start your own Secret Society… Uses COMCTL32.DLL version 4.70 (or greater), as shipped with Internet Explorer 3.0 or, for example, Office 97.

$images\ftools.jpg$	ChangeName 7.0: Cool Batch File Renaming. It's a batch utility for changing filenames and attributes. Freeware
		Chgname changes the file names, character case, dates, times and attributes, and will set all file date and time stamps progressively (created, modified, and accessed). It will enumerate large number of files with similar names (like name001.ext, name002.ext). Use wildcards, or edit filenames individually. Chgname shows a preview of all the filename changes. Excellent Win95/98/NT app.

		Another great Win95/98/NT app that renames multiple files. Files can easily be organized and grouped by a new common prefix and/or padded with a unique numerical or alphabetical value for sorting purposes. Features Real Time Preview and Full (Final) Preview for complicated renaming procedures.

		Also provides a tool to organize the menu options themselves. This cool extension adds these right-click options: 1. Copy Pathname to clipboard, 2. Shred File(s), 3. Batch Rename Files, 4. Encrypt File, 5. Duplicate File(s), 6. Copy directory list to file, 7. Print directory list.

Then, for example, type 'dir > filelist.txt' to create a list of filenames in a text file.
